memories of Ironman

one year ago
we traveled a ways
just hear the man
with something to say

you waited so long
and worked so hard
to cross that line and
hear those magic words

and now your friends
are going to the same race
you are chomping at the bit
to get back to your pace

but as you know
you are and ever will be
an IRONMAN-and one day
that might just be me!

weekend job

although I am tired
it's been fun
I'm learning new stuff
while on the run

 it's hard to juggle it all
but I've got help and I know
that it's going to be worth it
and the good will show

 so even though it can be tough
 I'll just tough it out
and learn how to handle it all
and see just what I'm about
