camp lessons

camp time is upon us
once again

learning and growing is
the focus main

helping stretch the kids
and pushing just a bit

to help them grow and see
what they gain from it

the intensity and focus
is great

to see what they do with it
all becomes their fate

wanting so badly to teach
them all

and hoping it will help stay
them when they fall

providing them with answers
if they will but heed

and remember at a time when
it's their greatest need

off to camp

we're leaving for camp
for nearly a week
I know that it will be good
if the good we will seek

it will be a better place
than we've been in the past
anything is better than
where we were the year last

the drive is a bit further
but it will surely be worth it
to see the nice new campground
I think it will be a hit

so off we go,
we'll be back soon
but not before
the end of June
