Christmas time is drawing near
Towns throughout are filled with cheer
Happy songs and lights so bright
Fill the day and most of the night
Packages galore with ribbon and bows
Filled with goodies, toys and clothes
People are nicer than throughout the year
They help the poor, the sick and those in fear
So now this day is more of a season
Let's keep in mind the ultimate reason
For our joy, hope and love
Come from within and above
